In 2017, Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG) announced a $200 million dollar investment to reinvigorate its business-focused brand, Crowne Plaza Hotels. The effort, summarized as “[less of] a rebranding as it is a crystallization for the brand that meets the evolved needs of today’s guests.” has since touched marketing and in-hotel touchpoints in numerous ways, but has left the web channel more or less the same. I thought now might be a good time to remedy that.
This goal here was simple:
1) Update the currently existing site using the new branding
2) Re-configure content to be more concise, relevant & user-friendly
3) Generally make it more awesome
And so, I started tinkering, and several, several hours later what you see here is the result! I built the page with IHGs systems in mind, which prevents us from doing anything too crazy, but I’m still super pleased with the result. Let me know what you think in the comments!
