I recently came across the tutorial on Webflow University regarding "how to add a WhatsApp chat widget to your webflow projects" realising that I didn't want to pay the $5 a month fee for Elfsight I had a look at what it was doing and it really wasn't doing very much.

Installation: Copy and paste or clone this project, if you copy and paste you will need to recreate the interactions.

Also include the following script into your project custom code (before Body close:

});
</script>

This will prevent the close button from performing its default action, so you can manage the open and close through one interaction.

Finally, to connect your whatsapp account, just change the link on the "Start WhatsApp chat" button with your telephone / Whatsapp number:

Add your profile pics, link out to your socials, and you're good to go! I even added a few Memberstack data attributes so it'll auto-fill for returning users. 

You'll want to tweak the open/close button once you hide the "Made in Webflow" label.

A new logo, new image and new website for our little web design service. We went through several iterations for this finalized design. We came across a few obstacles along the way during the design and development process which resulting in removing a lot of ideas implemented. The major issue with the fallback is performance drop caused by complex interactions, hidden heavy content elements, overlapping bugs, etc.

Eventhough the end result is not as expected, but it came out fine. (Well, at least it works.) Also, along the process, we discovered several bugs, do's and dont's, the possibilities, and new ideas. It has been fun creating this site.

We needed a design for a new help widget inside of the Memberstack  help center, app, and website, so we decided to release our work so far. It will give you a solid foundation to build upon. 

The icons are google material icon svgs so the color changes on hover. 

You could get fancy with this and some Memberstack data attributes to hide certain functionality depending on the member's account type. i.e. You could hide your chat support unless the member has a paid account.
