This was a redesign of my old music website. I recently released a new EP and wanted a new website to reflect the feel of the album. I utilized Webflow's interaction and animation features to bring users through the website with storytelling.

SMALL STEP FOR CIVILIZATION, GIANT STEP FOR NOCODE

Nocode tools are often viewed as primitive website builders. So I rebuilt Civilization VI and published the largest Webflow project ever featuring 12,400 elements, 1,800 styles, 1,200 assets, and 400 interactions.

This prototype is a loving tribute to Sid Meier and one of my favorite games of all time. I've integrated all 46 leaders along with their soundtracks and nearly every feature in the game.

The project stands at a whooping 124GB! The next time someone tries to dismiss nocode or asks you what's possible, just ping them this link :)

Welcome to Daily Interaction #125.

This demo showcases a 3d portfolio card animation on hover.

With this effect an image rotates 90 degrees back and a content wrapper rotates 90 degrees in on hover.

The effect was achieved by placing an image wrapper and a content wrapper inside of a 3d wrapper. The 3d wrapper has a child perspective applied to it via the transform option. This allows the div blocks inside of the wrapper to have a 3d effect as they rotate in and out. The transform-origin for the image wrapper was set to the bottom, and the transform-origin for the content wrapper was set to the top. In interactions I applied the rotation and opacity animations to both the image wrapper and content wrapper. Both div blocks are rotated on the x-axis.

The second template for https://www.graphicowls.com is ready. I tried to make something unusual, without typical grid layout. What do you think? Is it fresh enought? :)

WebGL Hover Effect

This is a quick example showing it is possible to add/integrate React Components into your existing Webflow sites.

How I did this:
- I first created a static component with all the elements and styles
- Published the site and copied the component's HTML from the live site
- Converted the HTML into JSX with http://magic.reactjs.net/htmltojsx.htm
- Coded a quick todo app functionality and retrofitted the generated JSX
- Placed a div on the page where the React Component needs to render

(It's a good idea to keep the static components alive on a separate page somewhere for when you want to update the styles etc)

That's it; you now have a React Component using Webflow generated styles!
