In 2018, Austyn co-founded Undrafted, a sports news and media organization dedicated to recruiting and developing journalists worldwide. As of 2024, Undrafted works with over 100 journalists globally, covering 600+ D1 College Athletic Events and 200 professional events each year, including the PGA Tour, NASCAR, WNBA, NBA, NHL, and MLS.
In 2020, Austyn founded Gem City Collects, a sports card company with a physical storefront in Fairborn, OH, specializing in live "breaks" for collectors.
In 2022, Austyn founded Vaughn & Co., a design agency based in Dayton, OH, focused on Brand Strategy, Brand Culture, Brand Identity, and Brand Activation. Vaughn & Co. specializes in working with businesses in SaaS, AI, Consumer Tech, Wearables, Productivity Tools, Sports, Non-Profits, Government, Sustainability, and Clean Energy sectors.
