AI alt text generator for Webflow – boost SEO, AI visibility, and accessibility in one click.
AI Alt Text Generator for Webflow
AltTextLab generates accurate, SEO-optimized alt text for every image on your Webflow site, right inside the Designer. Unlike generic captioning tools, it reads each image in the context of your page, so descriptions sound like something a human SEO or accessibility specialist would write. Generate one image at a time, or scan a whole page to bulk-generate alt text.
What makes AltTextLab different
Context-aware, not just captioning. It reads the page around each image instead of labeling pixels in isolation, so descriptions are relevant, not generic.
You control the SEO. Add target keywords, and they appear naturally in the alt text, so the phrases you care about show up in image search.
Accessibility done right. Mark decorative images as decorative so screen readers skip them, instead of forcing a description onto images that carry no meaning. Most tools can't tell the difference.
You keep the final say. Review and edit any description in place before it's saved, and choose whether it applies to one page or everywhere the image is used.
Key features
One-click alt text generation
Select any image in the Designer and click Generate. AltTextLab reads the image in context and writes an accurate, relevant description straight to the image element's alt attribute.
Bulk generation
Generate or update alt text for many images, or the entire page, in one pass. Open the Page images tab, select the images you want, and use Bulk actions. Built for image-heavy pages.
SEO keyword control
Specify target keywords, and they are woven naturally into the description, not stuffed or appended, so the output reads well for both people and search engines.
See and manage all your alt text in one place
AltTextLab scans the page and lists every image with its current alt text, so you can review the whole page at a glance, spot what's missing or weak, and fix it, by editing it yourself or generating it with AI. One screen instead of one click per image.
Decorative image support
Flag purely decorative images so screen readers skip them, exactly what WCAG expects for images that carry no meaning.
Customizable writing styles
Choose between descriptive, neutral, minimal, or matter-of-fact tones. Set a preferred style per project, and every generated description follows it.
Audit-ready output
Descriptions are written to WCAG 2.1 AA standards for length, natural language, and meaningful context, so your Webflow site is ready for ADA, EAA, and Section 508 accessibility reviews.
130+ languages
Generate alt text in over 130 languages directly from the app settings. Useful for Webflow sites serving multiple locales or international audiences.
Works across all your sites
One account covers any number of domains with no per-site fees, and credits are pooled across projects. Practical for agencies and freelancers running alt text across multiple client sites.
Privacy-first and GDPR-aligned
Images processed by URL are never stored on our servers. Only the generated alt text is saved to your account for reference. No data is ever used to train AI models, and no visitor or site data is ever accessed.
Supports JPG, PNG, SVG, AVIF, and WebP.
