GA Watermelon Association | A Fresh Take on a Classic Crop

The Georgia Watermelon Association champions one of the South’s most iconic crops—but their digital presence needed a refresh to match the vibrancy and vitality of the fruit (and the people) it represents. The challenge? Build a modern platform that educates, promotes, and delights—all while staying true to Georgia’s agricultural roots. Wild Places partnered with the GWA to design and develop a micro-site that is equal parts playful and professional. The new experience is intuitive and inviting, offering growers, buyers, and the general public clear access to information, events, and advocacy efforts. We infused the platform with a visual language as juicy and joyful as the product itself, while ensuring back-end ease for a small but mighty internal team. With a blend of bold design and strategic UX, the site reinforces GWA’s mission and gives their audience a reason to keep coming back—season after season.
