There are different ways to include audio files into your Webflow project. You cannot host or upload the mp3 file into your Webflow account but many domain provider offer external hosting as well. It's even possible to host it via your Dropbox account.

Simple MP3 audio player that hides the default browser's audio controls. Works seamlessly with Webflow's CMS collections. 

Some coding is inevitable for this to work. 

It needs some refining, but it's a nice starting point. 

The code before the </body> tag is based on code written by John Scheuer on http://www.dynamicdrive.com/forums/showthread.php?76740-jquery-play-only-the-music-link-that-s-clicked-stop-other-sounds. I adapted some of his html to make it work with the CMS collection tool that Webflow offers.

UPDATE
As of 2 September 2025, you don't need an external server to host your MP3 files: you can now simply upload your MP3 files to the Webflow Assets Panel.

I have seen many projects lately which add sound effects to buttons so I wanted to share how to do it.

Each of the sounds needs their own code. You can find the code in each embed.

To add them to your project:

1. Add a class to the div where you want the sound to play when clicked.
2. Add an embed and paste the code in your project.
3. Change the code to match your class name and the mp3 address where you hosted your audio file.

****Important****

- Do not link to the audio files on the clonable. Make sure to host the audio file in your server. These files will be removed and they won’t work in the near future.
- You need to publish the project to hear the sounds

Adding audio files on Webflow can be tricky. Here is a way to have as many audio files as you want which will play/pause every time you click a button. Follow these steps:

* It only works on published sites not on the Webflow builder **

1. Add an embed block on your project with as many audio tags as you want. You just have to change the unique "id" of each one. Example: <audio id="player1" loop src="your-song.mp3"></audio><audio id="player2" loop src="your-song2.mp3"></audio>

2. Add a button for each audio tag with a unique "id" (on the "Element Settings" section). Example: button1, button2

3. Copy the code on "Settings > Before body tag" on this project with the "id"s that you added on your players and buttons.

a fluid interface for playing short audio samples, with custom audio player controls from AmplitudeJS which handles the play/pause functionality and the progress bar for each song.  The 3d transforms are done with webflow interactions, and the background animation is an embedded scene built with Spline tool.  The audio files are hosted on google drive for now becuase im cheap so some browsers occasionally will not load them, chrome works best for now.  Hosting the files on my own server would solve this issue.  I need to finalize a few more things like turning the play icon into a pause icon on click but making this cloneable for now it case it helps someone else

Using custom code to control unmuting and muting sound. Video independent of the sound file loading from a cloud server ( Dropbox ). By default all audio URLs end with d1=0, if left with default settings sound wont play change to d1=1.
