I recently encountered a hiccup when wanting to use the Webflow tabs element and connecting it to a CMS collection that had a rich text field. The tabs element doesn't allow rich text to be placed in the tabs link, so this little guy was born.

Some quick notes:
- This uses JavaScript so if you change the classes, make sure to update the code in the page settings
- The arrows pull through from Font Awesome – the colour and arrow can be updated in the page settings
- Dogs make pretty cute beauty product models

Happy cloning 🙂

I was recently completing a site for a client which required users to be able to submit rich text but Webflow (weirdly) doesn't natively support this. I first tried Quill.JS but was unhappy with the result but eventually found TinyMCE - what an incredible tool!

The main reason for needing a RTE was to utilise bold, italic and underlined as well as lists (no need for headings). I've set up the API to my needs but the documentation is great and easy to understand.

Want to know the best part? I can send the data to Airtable using Zapier/Integromat/Parabola and then push it back into a Webflow CMS RTE!

Don't let clients or yourself break your richtext styles with unnecessary line breaks. And even if they are there, let's just delete them.

Just add the small JavaScript to your project and add the attribute "clean-up" to each rich text element you want to clean up and that's it.

Hey everyone!

We're bringing you another cloneable & Make.com tutorial - this one allows you to do 2 things;

1. Add a rich text input to your Webflow form
2. IMMEDIATELY Add the item to the CMS and redirect the user to their submission

Make sure to watch the loom video embedded on the page for the guide!

P.S: Thanks to Chris Drit for the original tutorial which we adapted to fit this use case.

Create dynamic anchor tags from rich text in your cms collections.

While working on a client's Webflow website, I needed a table of contents for each product information page and advice blog post. The problem was that this needed to be a dynamically generated list that included anchor tags to each specific section or chapter based on the content in a rich text field.

I looked at solutions online but only came across half solutions or solutions for full collections and not for the content inside of each collection item. So I decided to make my own.

The solution I came up with is super simple and allows you to customise it to your exact needs. All we need to do is give two elements on the page a unique ID and then add 15 lines of custom code.

Reduce the number of CMS fields and enhance Editor usability for complex CMS Template Page setups. Optionally, use Rich Text as a repeater for other Webflow elements.

Webflow's CMS fields limitations have always been quite annoying for my clients and I. If you've ever tried to make a slightly complex CMS template page, you'll know what I mean.

So I wrote this script for personal use and eventually got around creating a more production-ready library and a documentation site for it.

Hope it helps your next project!

FEATURES:
- Supports simple content mapping from Rich Text to most Webflow elements
- Supports repeating Webflow elements
- Supports complex CMS Template Page setups
- Detailed console warning and error logging

Hey guys

Before publishing a site it is very important to optimise the speed of your website and one of the way is to add lazy loading to site images. but previously it was not possible to add lazy loading on webflow sites. But I have found a way to do using css. I have implemented on following website and you can clone it to see whats the method. I have also add steps to make it easy for you.

If you like the project please show some love and If have any questions please write down them in the comments I'll be happy to reply back

and if you want me to design or build your website the you can contact me by clicking Hire button, or mail me directly at vishal.agrawal7b@gmail.com

Was in search of a solution for utilizing lightbox in richtext elements. I was able to take Jean's suggestion and implement it to my project. https://discourse.webflow.com/t/adding-lightbox-to-image-in-cms-rich-text-field/59743/5?u=bri-idea

Callout from Webflow's Documents

I was sick of having to go through a new rich text element and add the "when nested inside of" to each item so I made an easy pre-formatted version to copy and paste into your project.

This rich text block also has at least one of every element so you can easily adjust the look of your content before connecting it to your CMS. Hopefully this helps speed up people's work flow.
