A+ world Academy 2025

A+ World Academy is an international high school on board the Norwegian tall ship Sørlandet. Each year, around 64–70 students aged 15–19 join for 11th and 12th grade or a postgraduate year, sailing across the globe while studying in a unique, immersive environment. No prior sailing experience is required. The program is purposefully rigorous and can be exhausting, but the outcomes are extraordinary. A+ World Academy focuses on the whole student — combining strong academics with global perspectives, community values, maritime skills, and personal reflection. Students learn resilience, leadership, and confidence while experiencing the world as their classroom. This once-in-a-lifetime journey shapes young adults into well-rounded, global citizens ready to become tomorrow’s leaders.
