Break the Cycle

Break the Cycle is a charitable programme that helps young people to recognise and recover from unhealthy relationships. By understanding and addressing the needs of each audience, we built a website that presented this information in a thoughtful and digestible way with a natural pathway to clear actions for 'next steps'. The serious subject matter was presented in a way that was professional, approachable and non-judgemental. To achieve this, I employed techniques such as subtle animation, illustrations, a bright colour palette and well-considered imagery and accessible design. Since the website was launched in mid 2021, Break the Cycle have reported high engagement with the new programme. Many referrals have been made and their team are busy helping professionals, parents, schools and teens out of young persons' unhealthy and abusive relationships.
