Kontexture, an architecture firm based in Phoenix, was founded in 2013 by Daniel Istrate and Jorge Toscano, both graduates of the University of Arizona Architecture program. Kontexture is derived from the marriage of context and architecture which is what drives the design philosophy of the studio. In its inception, the firm focused primarily on residential architecture, but as the firm has grown it has diversified its body of work to commercial projects as well.
