Another year, another Showcase site. These are always so fun to make. The university gives me their theme each year and basically says "Okay, Go". I'm given free reign to play with Webflow in ways traditional sites don't often allow for. 

also, any of the custom code in this project was written by Ai. It's not perfect lol

BWMT Showcase 2024

Tara Rubin is THE casting director for Broadway. She has cast Tony award winning shows for the past 2 decades (Phantom of the Opera, Jersey Boys, Dear Evan Hansen, to name a few) and is a legend in the Broadway community. Not only that, she's one of the kindest souls you'll ever meet. I can't tell you how thrilled I am to say she's a client of mine.

...Now if she'd just put ME in a Broadway show 😂

Baldwin Wallace University Music Theatre Program

Another year, another musical theatre showcase website. For those just tuning in, I've made one of these promo sites every year for the Baldwin Wallace Music Theatre program for the past 9 years. They're actually my alma matter and I performed in one of these very showcases ◼️◼️ years ago. Shortly after, I moved to New York City. Desperate for money, I reached out and asked if I could make them a website. They were so thrilled with the response it's been history ever sense.

2021 BWMT Music Theatre Showcase

Baldwin Wallace University was my very first client in web design ( I graduated from their music theatre department in 2013). My first year working as an actor I started to dabble in web design so I reached out to my college mentor and said "Hey, CRAZY IDEA, but let me design a showcase website for you to get the industry excited about your students." It ended up being a hit! Even a Tony winning producer shared the site on his blog. Ever since, I've designed something fun for them to share every year. This is the latest design. 

Baldwin Wallace's Music theatre website was actually featured by Webflow and was my first big Webflow build

You can clone the site, cause hey, if it wasn't for this showcase I don't know where I'd be as a web designer today. It's far from a perfect design but it gets the job done for the program and the kids always get really excited about it.

This concept splash page was intended to be used as an announcement signup for an upcoming Off-Broadway show that ended up falling through (that's showbiz 💁🏼‍♂️).  This was actually one of the first things I ever made on Webflow and was blown away by the 3D capabilities of the platform.  If I were to actually use this I wouldn't keep the text as an image. 

Clone it... use it... destroy it... I don't care!

Event Sign Up Concept

Eric Woodall is the producing artistic director of North Carolina theatre In Raleigh and actually gave me my first professional role in a show 6 years ago. He’s a good man who deserves a good portfolio. Nothing too crazy here but I like it!

I recently completed this design for a music theatre student who was interested in showcasing both her acting life and songwriting.  It's a simple design, but gets the job done. 

I like to think that because all the background images and videos can be managed by her, theres very few limits when it comes to future branding for the site.

Actor/Singer/Songwriter Portfolio

Kalanidhi Dance approached me asking for a membership site that would allow them to host virtual events.  Using Memberstack.io, Zapier and Vimeo I did exactly that!  After a user creates their free account, a customized dashboard is created. Kalanidhi's administrative team can post on all or a specific user's dashboard to share valuable information. Users can also sign up for notifications about specific events (Zapier & Mailchimp tags) and when it's showtime, users head over to the 'virtual stage' to view a performance and then link to a Zoom chat afterwards. 

It was wonderful working with this organization. Carnatic music has always fascinated me.
