I was super inspired by the incredible work done by the team behind the Epicurrence 8 site design that I just had to take a stab at rebuilding it this past week 💜

Yup, our first "official" handshake with the rest of the planet. We tried our best to build something enjoyable to use, whether you're 5 or 85. Simple, chunky and graphic, but staying functional (we hope), we like having a site that feels a little like Lego.

After seeing Niccolò Miranda FatFatFat Festival site I was instantly inspired to see if I could recreate some of the interactions. With my own interpretation I have created a unique micro site with all interactions created in Webflow.

One of my frustrations with Webflow transitions is that achieving a good horizontal scroll effect with things like parallax is not possible out of the box. The "while scrolling in view" trigger only works for vertical scroll. So, after some trial and errors, I came up with a setup that gets the job done!

Hokaido is a free template focused on images and horizontal scroll. It's main features are:

1. Works well with CMS - no need to manually tweak any transitions, the horizontal scroll works with any number of CMS elements.

2. Parallax effects - create cool horizontal parallax effects, with the current setup, it just works!

3. Cool page transitions - go from page to page with a smooth transition between different projects.

Custom code was used, but there are just a few simple lines.

Plink Webflow Rebuild

With the new Ghostbusters movie coming, I wanted to build a proper movie site for such an amazing franchise. Celebrating the new and showcasing the originals.

I've also made the project cloneable. I'm new to development and have pulled snippets from multiple different projects. I still have a lot to learn but if this project is helpful to you, that's awesome!!

I am inspired and honored to work with Ryan Morrison at Webflow, he does amazing work! Ryan recently designed a beautiful illustration for our new home page at Webflow, the moment I saw it, I just wanted to animate and build it all in Webflow. 

So I decided to bring it to life in Webflow without using any images, yep, those are all div blocks :D
