Bite-sized Fun Cards!

Wanted to mess around with Frosted glass. Started out in Figma and then wanted to see how I could implement it in CSS so I brought it to Webflow!

Quite happy with the results. Not sure how 'new' this trend is. Trends just seem to go away only to come back later. I remember Microsoft doing this a few years back! But, always happy to explore a fresh new take on a trend!

Welcome to Daily Interaction #126.

This demo showcases a profile card animation on hover.

With this animation a circle comes in from the top, and the profile image scales down to reveal 2 borders behind the image. A div block comes in from the bottom as well to reveal social media icons, and the social media icons change color on hover.

The effect was achieved by setting the overflow of the card wrapper to hidden, and moving the circle and bottom block out of the card wrapper within interactions. Then on hover they come back in. For the image I have it scale down in interactions, and another border appears behind the image. The image and border were placed in a div block with a blue background, that is why the image appears to have two borders around it. The blue color behind the image is also a bit darker to add a bit of contrast to the image section.

The public Webflow profile where others view our work and a bit about us within Webflow has been neglected it seems for some time now. 

I feel our profiles are missing some really helpful features, like project tabs so we can organize and control what our visitors see ourselves. By control I mean have the opportunity to put our best foot forward and not just projects by date. 

I thought it would also be neat if we had a new way to present our best work like the "Featured Tab" within this project.

This was just my first take on something I have been thinking about for quite a while. You can change some things here like the profile theme color by selecting "Edit Profile" and then the droplet icon next to it. You can also click the blue "+" icon to open the modal to add projects to a new tab. 

Anyway, I hope you enjoy. I will continue to update this project over time. Thanks for checking it out! :)

Welcome to daily interaction #102!

This one was a lot of fun. It is a profile card that has different shapes scaling and moving over the card on hover. I might do more of these with different shapes and animations. The top circle has social media icons to make it a more functional card, and the bottom has the name of the person in the rectangle.

The part that took the longest was actually adding all the shapes into the card. I used specific wrappers and then positioned certain shapes around the wrapper with a position of absolute. For the rectangles at the bottom I skewed them on the x-axis to -20px. One thing to note, is that when you add a 'move' interaction to these shapes the skew property gets removed so you have to add the skew property as an initial state in the interaction as well.
