Permanent makeup (PMU) is a cosmetic technique similar to tattooing, but where pigments are applied in the second layer of skin instead of the third. This ensures that PMU is not permanent and fades over time. The durability of PMU ranges from 1 to 3 years, and a second treatment (touch-up) is performed after about six weeks.
