Horizontal scrolling fully engages visitors by using a unique interaction that changes their scrolling experience from vertical to right to left. Scrolling can also be achieved using the up and down arrow keys (spacebar for just scrolling down).

But, here’s the secret — it’s not horizontal scrolling. It’s vertical scrolling with an interaction that moves elements in our viewport as we scroll through our project.

One of my frustrations with Webflow transitions is that achieving a good horizontal scroll effect with things like parallax is not possible out of the box. The "while scrolling in view" trigger only works for vertical scroll. So, after some trial and errors, I came up with a setup that gets the job done!

Hokaido is a free template focused on images and horizontal scroll. It's main features are:

1. Works well with CMS - no need to manually tweak any transitions, the horizontal scroll works with any number of CMS elements.

2. Parallax effects - create cool horizontal parallax effects, with the current setup, it just works!

3. Cool page transitions - go from page to page with a smooth transition between different projects.

Our Webflow department continues to pick up pace: in just a month, we made an annual report for Amway.
 
The annual report is an important part of the charity foundation's program, and we had to organize it quickly and beautifully with an interactive format. 

We have already done branding, and almost the entire report was made on the basis of ready-made solutions in identity. Using Webflow and adding animations and horizontal scroll led us to a cool and custom landing page of the report.
