The designs by Studio VØR have a lot of great illustrations and animations, so it was fun building this in Webflow to showcase the power of Webflow, and just how much you can do with it :).

Welcome to daily interaction #101!

This demo showcases an infinite logo carousel on page load. There are two rows of logo placeholders that both move at different speeds. You can replace the logo text with an image, and change all the colors to match your brand.

For this I used Flexbox to create equal distance block widths, and then for the more square blocks I give it a specific width and height of 100 by 100. For smaller devices the blocks are all the same size.

The effect was achieved by having two rows next to each other and once one row goes out of view it starts at the beginning to create the infinite loop effect.

*The only caveat with this interaction is that if you navigate away from the page the animation does not loop and the timing starts to get altered for the logos.

Welcome to daily interaction #110.

This demo showcases a social media card animation on click. For this demo I have 3 social media cards appear below the profile card on click. This effect was achieved by resizing the social media blocks from 0 to it's original size which causes the up and down motion of the profile card at the top. I also used scale, move, and opacity transformations in interactions to change the 'contact me' button from text to an arrow. Another 'contact me' text also appears in the lower left hand corner of the card when clicking.

This demo showcases a profile card animation on hover. Initially there is just an image, and when you hover over the image a caption appears at the bottom with a title and social media icons. There is also a phrase that appears above the image. This can be a great way to showcase more information about a person or project on your website.

Welcome to daily interaction #99!

This demo showcases an image zooming out when hovering over each card. This effect was achieved by setting the overflow of the card wrapper to hidden. Then an image wrapper was placed inside of card wrapper. With interactions the image was scaled to double the size and set as the initial state. The initial opacity was also set to 0%. Then I have the image scale back to 1 and the opacity come back to 100% to create the zoom out effect. The text also changes color on hover to achieve better contrast with the image behind it.

Welcome to daily interaction #81.

This button was a lot of fun to create. At first glance it looks like a fairly simple button with a few line animations, but quite a bit goes into creating it. You might think the lines are scaling, but because a few of the lines go in different directions on the hover out animation, I had to place the lines within wrappers and set the wrappers to an overflow of hidden. I then applied ‘move’ animations to each line so I could control from what directions the lines came in from on the different hover states. Scaling the lines does not allow for the transform-origin to be changed on the different hover states, so that is why I chose to use the ‘move’ option instead. There are 6 line wrappers with lines inside of them and they are all placed on different sides of the button with a position of absolute.

Welcome to Daily Interaction #106.

This demo showcases a reverse image effect on mouse move. There are two images facing the opposite direction on both sides of the screen and when you move your mouse on the x-axis the images get closer or further apart. It is a very simple effect, but I think it can be very effective. To use the same image and save on load time I flipped the right image horizontally on the y-axis within the interaction. Both the left and right image are in a wrapper with an overflow set to hidden. I then applied a 'mouse move in viewport' interaction to move both images in and out as the mouse moved on the x-axis.

Demo requires mouse or trackpad input.
