The native Webflow lightbox component can be quite convenient to use, but it doesn't always play nice with the Webflow CMS.
We wrote a tiny and easily-implementable script that combines both components.

Instructions:
Create your nested collection with lightboxes, check "link with other lightboxes" and put "$" as the group name. Then, replace "collection-item" in the script with the class name you decided to give your collection item.

As we all know Webflow offers a Lightbox solution for CMS collections supporting multi-image fields as well as video-link fields. But the video-link field has a major API bug: Webflow won't show the video in the lightbox if you add the video-link via the API (e.g. from Airtable). This can be frustrating!

Well here ist a simple solution using the Webflow native lightbox without any external script to control the video.
