I recently encountered a hiccup when wanting to use the Webflow tabs element and connecting it to a CMS collection that had a rich text field. The tabs element doesn't allow rich text to be placed in the tabs link, so this little guy was born. 

Some quick notes:
- This uses JavaScript so if you change the classes, make sure to update the code in the page settings
- The arrows pull through from Font Awesome – the colour and arrow can be updated in the page settings
- Dogs make pretty cute beauty product models

I was recently completing a site for a client which required users to be able to submit rich text but Webflow (weirdly) doesn't natively support this. I first tried Quill.JS but was unhappy with the result but eventually found TinyMCE - what an incredible tool!

The main reason for needing a RTE was to utilise bold, italic and underlined as well as lists (no need for headings). I've set up the API to my needs but the documentation is great and easy to understand.

Want to know the best part? I can send the data to Airtable using Zapier/Integromat/Parabola and then push it back into a Webflow CMS RTE!

Create dynamic anchor tags from rich text in your cms collections.

While working on a client's Webflow website, I needed a table of contents for each product information page and advice blog post. The problem was that this needed to be a dynamically generated list that included anchor tags to each specific section or chapter based on the content in a rich text field.

I looked at solutions online but only came across half solutions or solutions for full collections and not for the content inside of each collection item. So I decided to make my own.

The solution I came up with is super simple and allows you to customise it to your exact needs. All we need to do is give two elements on the page a unique ID and then add 15 lines of custom code.

I was sick of having to go through a new rich text element and add the "when nested inside of" to each item so I made an easy pre-formatted version to copy and paste into your project.

This rich text block also has at least one of every element so you can easily adjust the look of your content before connecting it to your CMS. Hopefully this helps speed up people's work flow.
