This image gallery concept with p5.js features images that float around the screen randomly and scale up based on proximity to the cursor. As the images get closer to the cursor, they scale up, but as the distance increases, they shrink! Additionally, as the images approach the viewport borders, we'll make sure they reverse direction, such that they bounce around and I'll show you how to find tune the behavior with custom variable in Webflow.

In this lesson we will have a look at the coding concept of recursion - a function that calls itself, to generate images that look like famous artwork by Piet Mondrian using p5.js. Recursion is notorious for being a difficult concept for new coders to master, and I think that having a visual representation can go a long way in helping wrap your head around how it works. Was at the SF Museum of Modern art the other day and was inspired to recreate this famous painting by Gerhard Richter in p5.js. It's a good lesson on grids with equal spacing between elements and colorMode in p5.js. We'll play around with random values, but here's how Richter did it according to the audio guide (he ended up with 180 colors, so ended up reusing some colors since there are 256 grid cells).
