I finally decided to get my hands dirty and learn ThreeJS + React Three Fiber to give life to my ideas using interactive 3D. This project is the end result of my tests and study.

Highly inspired by the Work Louder(c) Creator Micro pad (https://worklouder.cc/creator-micro/), I created a fictional collab between your favorite website builder and this amazing product for a limited edition with custom shortcuts to improve your workflow.

My process:
- 3D model, materials, lights and animation done in Blender
- Used CodeSandbox Cloud to put everything together in R3F (plus some custom scripts used on the Webflow page via data attritbutes)
- Loaded the generated JS bundle in Webflow using custom code

When we integrate #gsap with Webflow for high-performance animations, we are pushed to create design prototypes (Figma, Principle, etc) to hand off animation guidelines for our development team to implement, kind of how it was in the old days.

Clearly, there was some refokus-ing to be done with this process. That's why we started to create playgrounds where our designers can play with variables visually and share the code directly from there.

If you watch the tutorial, you'll notice that the best performance and sharpness of the lettering can only be achieved with an SVG.
That's actually the way Apple uses it as well. The disadvantage is that you have to export an extra SVG image for your own wording.

Animating text elements with scale does not work, because Chrome renders the font blurry 😟

Trona is a new Oaxaca/Japanese-inspired cocktail bar in Austin, Texas that invites you to embark on a journey of genuine hospitality and meaningful social experiences.

Our goal was to create a website experience that was as powerful, immersive, and exhilarating as the bar itself.

The special thing about this is that we work with a "scroll into view" animation and use only the already predefined animation types from Webflow. This makes it quite easy to animate any element on a website.

It was our pleasure to work on a landing page for the beautiful new issue of Nevoazul, a magazine that provides a new perspective on the web. This issue is dedicated to “A More Gentle Internet” and occupies the space between past and future, reflecting on today’s web as a space for knowledge and empathy.

Because their work brings such a clear and soothing view over the chaotic world that is the web, we wanted to build a peaceful page, to allow the user to wander about each detail and animation, just like a journey on a hot air balloon!

This site features a custom nested menu, GSAP text scramble effects, and a hover pixelation animation on the main page.

The goal was to create something that was anti-agency. There are too many marketing agencies out there with loud branding - the world certainly didn’t need another. Intrigue and saying less than necessary can go a long way.

Staggered letters and word animations are quite popular. I always created these with a duplicate of the original text, but Jan-Willem Wessels (thanks buddy!) shared a great technique with me that uses a text-shadow. It's not only easier, but also better for accessibility.
