From my Webflow online course community came the wish to build this video player, which basically runs in a loop without sound as a background video.
If you click on on the unmute button, the video plays from the beginning and the sound is activated.

We need a bit of custom jQuery code for this. In addition, the Vimeo API must be included if you want to address Vimeo iFrames.

I finally figured out how to get CMS video backgrounds that fill an entire container.

Works with Webflow's own compressions as well (mp4 and webm).

I added Lazyload as well, so it only loads the video backgrounds on scroll.

Neue World

In this template, we've embedded a unique feature where videos come to life as you hover over them. This isn't just a design choice; it's a new way of engaging with content. The moment your cursor touches a video, it springs into action, playing seamlessly. And when you move away? It pauses, awaiting your return. This creates a dynamic, user-driven experience, making every interaction on your website feel alive and responsive.

The site aims to showcase Henry’s personality as well as his work through an interactive pixel-based, retro word-processor style journey.

Super fun to design and build from beginning to end. Big thanks to Henry for the opportunity to build something unique and packed full of enjoyable moments.

I had the pleasure to work with the Nas Daily team - which operates one of the biggest Youtube channels in the world - to design and build their new website for Nas Studios, the B2B side of Nas Daily.

The website showcases their best work so far and uses Webflow interactions to tell their story.

Live website here: https://studio.nasdaily.com/

Jungle is a new web game studio - made in Brazil, to the world! I had a pleasure of helping them turn their fresh brand into a cool website with some Lottie, 3D work, all the good stuff.

The background video and logo were rendered and animated with Blender 3D. The rest is mostly Webflow + a bit of GSAP sauce.

If you've ever tried to add a background video to your website using Webflow's native solution, you might have run into some issues. The compression can often result in poor resolution, or worse, a slow-loading website due to the large file size. And adding background videos via CMS only really works with a Vimeo Pro account....

But fear not! Our former Webflow wizard, Artem, came up with an awesome workaround: tool that can create Webflow-friendly Dropbox-links.

Be aware that Dropbox has a fair use policy and is not hosting in the true sense, links are bandwidth limited. We recommend to use this hack for small-scale websites and landing pages.

Just drop, copy, and paste the link, and voila! You've got yourself a magic solution for adding background videos to your website. We're always looking for ways to make our projects better and more user-friendly, and this is just one example of the creative problem-solving our team is capable of.

Hey guys! Another one of my Dribbble shots, made in Webflow with the (amazing) Grid feature. Here's the link to the original post: https://dribbble.com/shots/4814671-Hawaii-s-Most-Dangerous-Surf-Spots, in case you want o check it out.

Love how it changes with the video background divs. Added a little spice with ::after and ::before blending modes.

As per usual, feel free to clone and have fun with it.
