Today we’re beginning the roll out of our new AI-powered SEO and AEO capabilities that make it easier to audit and improve both on-page and technical SEO, as well as optimize for AEO, so your content gets discovered and understood by both humans and machines.

For years, Webflow has equipped creators with the tools to build fast, structured, and highly discoverable websites. Webflow already includes powerful, built-in SEO features such as redirects, automated sitemaps, schema markup, and Open Graph meta tags that give teams a strong foundation for discoverability. These tools have helped teams scale and grow their organic search programs while making it easier to maintain visibility over time.

As AI continues to wedge itself into the marketing funnel new challenges are emerging including a 15–25% drop in SEO traffic across industries according to Bain & Company. However, while more consumers are turning to AI for information, research from Columbia University shows that nearly 60% of AI-generated answers cite the wrong source or misrepresent brand information. Teams now need to make sure their content is not only discoverable but also accurately interpreted and represented.

Traditional SEO alone cannot address these challenges since discoverability now depends on how well a site is structured for not only search engines, but for LLMs too. That’s why we’re expanding Webflow’s foundation with AI-powered SEO and AEO tools that help every team build with the intelligence, structure, and precision required to stay visible in this new era of search.

Well-structured content has always been the foundation of good SEO, and it’s even more important in the age of AI. Search engines and AI models both rely on structured data to understand your site’s hierarchy, context, and purpose.

That’s why Webflow now includes native schema support directly within Page Settings. Taking it a step further, Webflow AI evaluates your content and automatically recommends the most relevant schema type, helping ensure your site is interpreted accurately and consistently by both search and AI engines.

This means no custom code, no third-party plugins, and no extra steps — just clear, structured data built directly into your Webflow site.

New AI tools to improve how your site gets discovered

We’ve also updated the Audit panel to make it smarter and more efficient with Webflow AI. You can now run sitewide or page-level audits to spot missing alt text, meta titles, meta descriptions, and schema markup — all from a single dashboard.

Review and generate alt text across your entire asset library with Webflow AI — improving accessibility and SEO in just a few clicks.

Instead of simply flagging what’s missing, Webflow AI provides suggested fixes you can accept or refine in context. For example, if your site includes images without alt text, Webflow AI will generate clear, relevant descriptions. If a page lacks a meta description or schema markup, it can propose optimized versions based on your content and structure.

These updates make it easier to improve accessibility, page performance, and search visibility, while reducing the manual work typically required to maintain SEO health.

Rolling out

Webflow’s AI-powered SEO and AEO tools are available on accounts with either a paid site or a paid workspace plan, just like our existing SEO functionality. 

Note: These tools are part of a percentage-based rollout that is expected to conclude this week.
