Inline Frame (iframe)

Inline Frame (iframe)

An inline frame or <iframe> is an HTML element that embeds an HTML document within another webpage.

Web developers and designers use inline frames to embed various external content. This content includes ads, images, videos, maps, social media feeds, and other interactive elements, which are viewable without requiring users to navigate away from the current page. They allow for greater design flexibility while maintaining user engagement.

For example, consider a local business with a physical storefront. Its website can leverage an inline frame to embed a map showing its location directly on its website. Instead of linking to a Google Maps page, the inline frame displays the map within a section on the website, delivering an integrated and user-friendly experience for locating the business.
