Pixel

A pixel (px) is the smallest unit of measure in a digital image or display, representing a single point of color or light. Pixels control the clarity and sharpness of images and are the building block of displays on devices like smartphones, computers, and televisions. They have a square shape and are arranged in a grid, combining with neighboring pixels of different colors to form images, text, and other visuals on a screen. The more pixels an image has, the higher its resolution.

For example, imagine you have a digital image of a red car against a blue background on a grid made of 1,000 squares by 1,000 squares. Each square on the grid is an individual pixel that represents a specific color value, contributing to the overall appearance of the car and the background.
