Comment

Comment

A comment is a text note in source code that offers context, internal information, or other guidance to any developers using it. Comments appear differently depending on the programming language. 

For example, in HTML, a comment appears like this: <!--comment-->. 

In C, it looks like this: */ comment.

Comments are non-executable statements, meaning browsers don’t read them and they don’t end up on the actual webpage. Their aim is to add useful information for developers, who can add comments for their own reference.

You might find comments when embedding custom code into your Webflow site, which helps you ensure you’re exporting it correctly. When done properly, custom code lets you further customize your designs — and comments help you do that.
