Pixie
Connect Pixie with Webflow to automate CMS image optimization, reduce file sizes, and speed up page load times.
How to integrate Pixie with Webflow
CMS images slow down sites when they aren't properly sized for different devices and layouts. Manually resizing hundreds of images across collections takes hours and creates inconsistent dimensions.
Install the Pixie app from the Webflow marketplace to resize and crop CMS images in bulk across your collections. The app connects through OAuth authorization and provides visual controls for processing images directly in the Webflow interface.
Use the Pixie app
Install the Pixie - CMS Image Optimizer from the Webflow marketplace to resize and crop CMS images without writing code. The app connects through OAuth authorization and provides visual controls for managing image dimensions across your CMS collections.
After installation, you select which sites and collections to process, choose your preferred image dimensions, and configure format conversion settings. The app processes images and shows progress in real-time through the Webflow interface.
Note: Webflow has native WebP conversion available via its in-built tool.
This integration enables the following actions:
- Bulk resizing across multiple CMS collections and items at once
- Custom dimensions for resizing images to specific widths and heights
- Selective processing for individual images or entire collections
- eCommerce support for product images, gallery images, and related content
The app requires permissions to read your user information, read and write CMS data, access site data and publishing status, and manage eCommerce store data. OAuth authorization keeps your connection secure and prevents conflicts with other integrations.
If you have an account with Pixie, just install the app on Webflow. The app will handle OAuth authentication during installation. This approach maintains compatibility with existing integrations and provides better security.
The Pixie feature guide confirms support for CMS gallery images, standard CMS images, eCommerce product images, and related content images. Rich text image processing is not currently available. Large-scale batch processing may take time depending on your collection size.

Frequently asked questions
Sign up for a Pixie account, then download the Pixie - CMS Image Optimizer app from Webflow Apps. Select the specific sites and CMS collections you want to optimize, then configure your preferred optimization settings like dimensions and format conversion options. The Pixie help guide walks through each authorization step and shows where to manage connected sites.
Pixie requires four permission scopes: read authorized user information, read and write CMS data, read site data and publishing status, and read and write eCommerce store data. These permissions let the app access your CMS collections, process images, and update optimized versions back to your site.
Pixie handles CMS gallery images, standard CMS images, eCommerce product images, and related content images. You can target specific image fields within collections rather than processing all images on your site.
OAuth authorization prevents conflicts with existing Webflow integrations and provides more secure connections between Pixie and your site. OAuth also lets you revoke access without regenerating keys that might be used elsewhere.
Sites typically see faster image load times, improved SEO rankings from better performance scores, and reduced manual optimization workload. The Webflow integration page documents faster image loading through automated optimization and WebP conversion. Actual results vary based on original image quality, dimensions, and how many images you optimize across your CMS.
