Easier setup and better performance for code components
Less boilerplate, better LLM output, smaller bundles, and more resilient server-side rendering for your code components.

With code components, you can bring React components from an external codebase directly onto the Webflow canvas. Over the last few weeks, we’ve shipped a variety of improvements to simplify setup and boost performance.
Decorators for easier framework usage
You can now wrap every code component with shared logic using decorators — perfect for global CSS, React Providers, and setups for Tailwind, Shadcn, Material UI, and more. Check out the developer docs to learn more.
Smaller bundles, faster sites
Bundle sizes for most code components are now up to 75% smaller, meaning faster load times for your visitors.
More resilient server-side rendering
SSR now handles most common CSS setups automatically, so styles reliably render on first load. And when a server–client mismatch occurs, code components now recover gracefully — keeping hydration errors out of sight.
Smarter LLM-generated definitions
AI workflows for generating component definitions get a boost with new aliases for commonly hallucinated prop types, reducing the need for manual fixes. Check out the docs for Text and Slot.
Together, these upgrades make it even easier, faster, and more reliable to bring your code to the canvas.
