Growform
Connect Growform with Webflow to handle complex lead qualification with multi-step flows and conditional logic.
How to integrate Growform with Webflow
There are two ways to add Growform forms to your Webflow site. You can install the Growform Marketplace app for a streamlined setup, or use Code Embed to paste embed code directly into your pages. Both methods support inline forms and modal popups with full customization options.
Use the Growform app
The Growform app on Webflow's marketplace is officially listed with verified compatibility. You can create multi-step forms using Growform's drag-and-drop builder, then embed them in your Webflow pages as inline forms or modal popups. The app supports multiple field types including standard inputs and custom validation rules.
Copy the Growform embed code to access the form in your Webflow site. The app includes the following features:
- Multi-step form builder with conversion-optimized templates for lead capture
- Conditional logic that shows or hides fields and entire steps based on responses
- Custom branding with theme controls to match your Webflow site colors and styling
- Submission handling with email alerts and data export to CRMs through Zapier integrations
Forms run inside iframes to maintain isolation from your host site. This prevents style conflicts but means you configure visual customization in Growform's theme settings rather than in Webflow.
Embed forms directly with code
Growform's official Webflow guide documents the complete embedding process. You copy embed code from Growform and paste it into Webflow's Code Embed component. The process takes 2-3 minutes including visual customization.
- Navigate to Share form in Growform's top navigation
- Select the standard embed option and click Get embed code
- Click Copy embed code to copy the HTML snippet
- Open your Webflow project and find the Code embed component in the left sidebar (scroll down under Components)
- Drag the Embed component to your desired page location
- Paste the Growform embed code into the component
- Click Publish to make the form live
You can customize the form appearance using Growform's theme settings:
- Set canvas to Minimal to remove header and padding
- Match background color to your Webflow page or choose None for transparency
- Remove logos if already present in your Webflow layout
- Set shadows to None for clean integration
- Adjust primary color to coordinate with your brand
Modal popup implementation is triggered by buttons. Assign a unique ID to any button in Webflow, then select Embed Growform as a modal when my users click a button or link in Growform's share options. Replace the placeholder ID in the code with your button's ID. The form opens as an overlay when clicked.
Forms are fully responsive and adapt automatically to mobile, tablet, and desktop devices. You don't need additional configuration for mobile optimization. Growform recommends using large buttons, single-column layouts, and multi-step sections for best mobile performance.
Lead management happens in Growform, not Webflow. Submissions appear in your Growform account and email notifications are sent to you by default. You can connect submissions to external tools through integrations like Zapier. This workflow differs from native Webflow forms where submissions appear in your site settings.
The embed code uses iframes to isolate form functionality from your host page. This architecture prevents JavaScript conflicts but means direct style manipulation from Webflow won't affect form elements. All styling happens through Growform's theme controls.
What you can build
Integrating Growform with Webflow enables complex lead qualification workflows that native Webflow forms cannot support — through features like multi-step forms, conditional logic, and dynamic field behavior.
- Financial services lead capture: Build multi-step mortgage applications or loan qualification forms that collect detailed financial information across 5-7 steps, reducing abandonment by showing progress and breaking complex questions into digestible sections
- Professional service intake: Create conditional intake forms for legal or consulting firms that show different question paths based on service type selected, collecting relevant case details without overwhelming prospects with irrelevant fields
- Real estate buyer qualification: Design property search forms that qualify buyers through progressive disclosure, starting with basic preferences then diving deeper into budget, timeline, and financing only after initial engagement
- Solar installation quotes: Build stepped quote request forms that educate prospects about solar options while collecting roof specifications, energy usage, and contact details across a conversational flow
Frequently asked questions
Use Growform's theme settings to customize colors, spacing, and visual elements. Set your canvas to Minimal to remove default headers and padding, match your background color to your Webflow page, remove any logos from the form if you already include branding in your Webflow layout, adjust the primary color to coordinate with your brand, and set shadows to None since they only work well on white backgrounds. These adjustments take 2-3 minutes and don't require code changes.
Submissions appear in your Growform account dashboard, not in Webflow's form submissions panel. The leads are emailed to you by default, and Zapier integration is available for sending leads to CRMs and other platforms. This architecture keeps lead data in a dedicated system rather than mixing it with native Webflow form submissions. You don't need any Webflow configuration for lead handling since everything happens in Growform.
Assign a unique ID attribute to any button or link in Webflow that should trigger the popup. In Growform, navigate to Share form and select Embed Growform as a modal when my users click a button or link. Replace the placeholder ID in the provided code with your button's unique ID from Webflow, then paste the modified code into the Webflow Code Embed component. This displays your form as an overlay when clicked, while keeping your original page layout underneath.
