How to integrate Owwlish with Webflow

The easiest way to set up your Owwlish Webflow integration is by embedding courses with Owwlish scripts. You can also automate workflows with Zapier for student enrollment and completion tracking.

Integration constraints: Owwlish doesn't provide REST APIs or webhook infrastructure. You cannot programmatically enroll Webflow members or receive real-time completion events through native code. Course management happens entirely in Owwlish's dashboard, with content displaying through embedded JavaScript on your Webflow pages.

Embed courses with Owwlish scripts

Add Owwlish course players to Webflow pages through a two-step script integration. First, inject a base initialization script site-wide, then embed course-specific players in container elements. This approach keeps students in your domain during enrollment and playback, processing payments through Stripe without external redirects.

Implementation steps:

  1. Add base script to Webflow site settings under Before </body> tag (one-time setup per site)
  2. Add a Code Embed element to your page and paste the course-specific script
  3. Update course content in the Owwlish dashboard — changes sync automatically without code edits
  4. Connect Stripe for payment processing through Stripe Connect

Note: Payouts are managed through the Stripe Dashboard, not within Owwlish. Complete Stripe verification as soon as possible after connecting your account — Stripe will notify you of specific verification deadlines based on your account type and transaction volume.

The platform supports video uploads up to 10GB at 1080p resolution in formats including MP4, MOV, AVI, and MKV. Add quizzes, text lessons, and downloadable resources through the Owwlish dashboard.

Owwlish provides basic video security measures that deter casual downloading through domain restrictions and signed URLs. However, the platform does not use enterprise-grade DRM encryption — determined users with technical knowledge can still capture video content. If strict piracy protection is critical, consider platforms with documented DRM like VdoCipher or Brightcove.

URL configuration: If you test courses in Webflow's staging environment before publishing, add both your production domain and staging URLs (like yourproject.webflow.io) to Owwlish's Connected Sites settings to prevent URL mismatch errors during development.

Automate workflows with Zapier

⚠️ Important: The Owwlish Zapier integration is in beta. Potential authentication issues and trigger/action changes may occur without notice. Test automations thoroughly before relying on them for production workflows.

Connect Owwlish to Webflow through Zapier to automate student enrollment and completion tracking.

Available triggers

  • New Learner Enrollment: Detects when students enroll and returns email and course ID
  • Lesson Completed: Fires when students finish lessons, enabling completion-based automations

Available actions

  • Enroll Learner: Adds students to courses (requires email, first name, last name, course ID)
  • Send Notification: Delivers messages to students based on enrollment status or progress
  • Add New Learner, Update Learner Information, Mark Lesson Completed

Build Zaps that connect Webflow form submissions to Owwlish enrollments, or sync course completions to your CRM. Zapier serves as the automation layer between Owwlish and Webflow since Owwlish doesn't provide direct API access.

What you can build

Integrate Owwlish with Webflow to sell educational content and deliver training on your existing site.

  • Membership course sites: Build a site where visitors browse course previews on Webflow landing pages, purchase access through Stripe, and watch enrollment-protected video content through Owwlish's embedded player — keeping students on your domain throughout the experience.
  • Client training portals: Create onboarding hubs where agencies deliver branded training to clients through Webflow-designed pages with Owwlish course modules for product tutorials, best practices, and certification programs. Note: Without Zapier, agencies must manually add clients to courses via the Owwlish dashboard.
  • Paid workshop series: Sell time-limited workshop access through Webflow sales pages with Owwlish course content embedded directly on your pages. Include live session recordings, downloadable worksheets, and completion certificates. Owwlish supports enrollment expiration for 30-day challenges or limited-time offers.
  • Digital product bundles: Combine Webflow's e-commerce with Owwlish courses to sell packages that include video training and interactive quizzes. Note: This workflow requires Zapier automation and managing content across two platforms — users access PDFs in Webflow and videos in Owwlish separately. For a simpler unified experience, consider all-in-one course platforms.

Frequently asked questions

  • Yes. Owwlish is listed on the Webflow Marketplace. However, it integrates via custom code embedding rather than a native Webflow App SDK integration — installation requires manual script insertion into your Webflow project rather than one-click activation.

  • Not directly through code. Owwlish doesn't provide REST APIs or webhooks for programmatic enrollment. You can use Zapier's Owwlish integration (currently in beta) to trigger the "Enroll Learner" action when someone submits a Webflow form or completes a purchase. This requires building a Zap that connects your Webflow trigger to Owwlish's enrollment action.

  • Yes, through CSS. Owwlish's embedded course players accept custom CSS to match your Webflow site's typography, colors, and spacing. You write CSS targeting Owwlish's player elements and add it through Owwlish's customization settings — not in Webflow's code. You can't modify the player's HTML structure or JavaScript behavior, only visual styling through CSS rules.

  • No. Owwlish operates as an embed-first platform without public REST API documentation or webhook infrastructure. Programmatic enrollment, real-time data synchronization, and custom integrations require Zapier rather than direct API access. If you need programmatic control over enrollment and completions, consider API-first LMS platforms like Moodle, LearnDash, or TalentLMS.
