How to integrate ShipStation with Webflow

Webflow e-commerce handles storefront design and checkout, but shipping requires additional infrastructure. ShipStation connects your Webflow orders to 100+ carriers, automates label creation, and syncs tracking data back to customers. This integration covers order sync, label generation, and tracking updates; it does not support custom order statuses or payment method transfers.

There are several ways to connect the platforms. Use the ShipStation app on Webflow marketplace for direct order sync or connect through Zapier or Make for flexible automation workflows

Use the ShipStation app

ShipStation maintains an official Webflow app provided by Auctane (ShipStation's parent company) that creates a direct connection between platforms. Once installed, orders automatically import into ShipStation, where you can print labels, apply shipping rules, and manage fulfillment from a single dashboard.

To set up the connection, navigate to Account Settings > Selling Channels > Store Setup in ShipStation and select Webflow. Authenticate with your Webflow credentials via OAuth and configure store-specific settings: units of measurement, branding preferences, and notification options. The app supports these core functions:

  • Order import: Pulls customer emails, shipping addresses, item weights, product images, and order notes from Webflow into ShipStation automatically
  • Fulfillment sync: Marks orders as shipped in Webflow when labels print in ShipStation
  • Inventory updates: Syncs stock levels from ShipStation when fulfillment completes
  • Discounted rates: Provides access to ShipStation's negotiated carrier rates for USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, and 100+ additional carriers worldwide

The app supports standard Webflow order statuses but does not transfer custom statuses or payment method details. Earlier versions of the app are no longer supported and require reconfiguration through the store setup process.

Connect with Zapier or Make

Zapier and Make.com are the most mature automation platforms for connecting Webflow and ShipStation without custom API development. Other options, such as Integrately and n8n, exist, but Zapier and Make offer the widest set of native triggers and actions for this pair.

Zapier's ShipStation integration includes pre-built templates for common workflows. The "Create ShipStation orders from new Webflow orders" template syncs new Webflow orders to ShipStation in real time. Configure triggers for new orders and map fields between platforms using Zapier's field mapping interface. Available triggers and actions include:

  • Webflow triggers: New Form Submission, New Order, Updated Order
  • ShipStation actions: Create Order, Update Order
  • ShipStation triggers: Item Ordered, New Order, Order Shipped, Order Cancelled
  • Conditional logic: Filter orders by value, destination, or product type before creating shipments

Make.com provides 26 Webflow actions and 23 ShipStation actions for custom multi-step scenarios. While pre-built templates for this specific pair are not documented, the action sets support customer management, carrier operations, and warehouse workflows.

Note that webhook triggers consume operations quickly, which can affect pricing for high-volume stores (Make.com Community).
