We're excited to announce that Webflow has acquired Vidoso.ai, a multi-modal AI asset generation startup built to help marketing teams create brand-aligned visual and video content at scale.
This is a meaningful milestone for Webflow, and to understand why, you have to understand the problem we're obsessed with solving for our customers.
The missing piece in AI-powered marketing
Every marketing team we talk to is experimenting with AI. And the feedback is consistent: the content comes out fast, but it doesn't come out right. It doesn't look or feel like the brand. It ignores the guardrails that teams spent months defining. It has no idea that your enterprise segment needs a completely different message than your self-serve users. AI can generate visuals or video, but it doesn't know your brand the way you do.
And it’s not a model problem; the models are extraordinary. It's a context problem.
Context allows AI to really understand your brand: who you are, what you stand for, and how you show up in the world across different surfaces, audiences, and altitudes. At Webflow, we like to think of this as the marketing operating system for your brand: the layer of context, rules, and structure that turns a generic content machine into something that reliably produces your content, for your brand, within your rules. Things like branding and design choices, messaging and positioning, site structure and schema all guide how your team operates—so why should AI be any different?
Our acquisition of Vidoso is our next step in actualizing this context layer in our agentic web marketing platform: built to scale your brand in a way that is controlled, cohesive, and true to what your brand is.
The three layers we're building for our customers
In order to tackle the challenge of making your agentic stack become brand-governed, we think about this architectural model in three layers:
- At the base is the platform infrastructure layer: hosting, performance, security, and governance and compliance. This is what gives marketing teams the confidence to move fast, knowing the foundation underneath them is enterprise-grade and built to scale.
- Above that sits the marketing operating system: the CMS, design system, asset management, and web analytics that encode a brand's rules, structure, and content relationships. This is the context layer that tells agents what's valid before generation ever begins. It's what makes the difference between AI that generates content and AI that generates your content.
- On top of that is where marketing teams and agents work together: building, managing, and optimizing web experiences across visual development, AEO, optimization, personalization, and localization. This is where this context pays off for customers. This is where governed generation becomes a compounding advantage, and where teams can move at the speed of AI without losing control of their brand.
Marketers and agents aren't separate tracks in this model. They move through the same workflows, within the same brand constraints, held to the same quality standards. That's what gives marketing teams the confidence to actually trust what AI produces.
Vidoso makes the context layer dramatically stronger
Frontier models are trained on the internet at large, not on your brand. The first wave of AI gave marketing teams powerful but ungoverned generation: fast output, blind to brand systems, templates, and the approval workflows that keep enterprise marketing coherent. Content got generated, but nobody owned the guardrails.
Vidoso was built to close that gap. Their technology generates visual and video assets that respect brand guidelines, stay consistent across campaigns and channels, and fit natively into the structured workflows marketing teams already use. These are AI-generated assets that are production-ready by design and built for how teams actually work.
Bringing Vidoso into Webflow directly strengthens the context layer that makes everything agents produce trustworthy for the teams relying on it. The Vidoso team has spent years solving one of the hardest problems in AI-powered marketing: making generated output predictable enough to actually publish. That expertise, and that technology, is now part of how we're building our agentic web marketing platform for customers.
What's next
We're thrilled to welcome the Vidoso team to Webflow. And over time, we'll be incorporating Vidoso's technology and agents into the Webflow platform to further power AI-driven creative workflows. Vidoso's existing customers will continue to have access to their products as that work unfolds.
The future of the web will be AI-native. We’re building for that future with a clear goal: give marketers, developers, and agencies the tools to move faster, create boldly, and ship with confidence. Everything starts with the people who build on Webflow. This step expands what’s possible and strengthens the foundation for what you can build next.
