How to integrate Enzuzo Data Privacy with Webflow

Enzuzo connects to Webflow through two independent methods: the Enzuzo Data Privacy app from the Webflow Apps Marketplace for one-click installation, or manual JavaScript embedding through Webflow's custom code settings for page-level control. Most sites only need the app. Manual embedding is useful when you need consent banners on specific pages or want to integrate with existing custom code.

Use the Enzuzo Data Privacy app

The Enzuzo Data Privacy app on the Webflow Apps Marketplace is the fastest way to add compliance tools to your site. After authorizing the app through Webflow SSO, Enzuzo automatically embeds consent management scripts on your site. The app handles cookie detection, script blocking, and consent logging without manual code changes.

The app provides:

• Cookie consent banners display automatically with designs you can customize to match your brand colors and typography.
• Geo-specific compliance shows opt-in banners for EU visitors (GDPR) and opt-out notices for California visitors (CCPA) based on IP detection.
• Automatic cookie categorization groups cookies into necessary, preferences, statistics, and marketing categories.
• Script blocking prevents tracking scripts from firing until visitors grant consent.
• Google Consent Mode V2 integration maintains compliant ad delivery and analytics tracking in the EEA.

Enzuzo recommends using the app for the best performance and security compared to manual code embedding.

To install, navigate to the Enzuzo app listing in the Webflow Apps Marketplace, click Install, and authorize Enzuzo to access your Webflow site using your Webflow SSO credentials. After installation, configure your banner settings, cookie categories, and regional consent rules through the Enzuzo dashboard, then publish your Webflow site to activate the consent banner.

Embed Enzuzo with custom code

Manual JavaScript embedding gives you precise control over where Enzuzo scripts load. This method works when you need consent banners on specific pages or want to integrate Enzuzo with other custom code on your site.

There are several placement options:

• Site-wide head code through Site settings → Custom code → Head code loads the consent banner before other scripts, which is necessary for proper script blocking of tracking cookies.
• Site-wide footer code through Site settings → Custom code → Footer code improves page load performance for non-blocking scripts by loading them after page content renders.
• Page-specific custom code through individual page settings lets you show consent banners only on pages that collect data.
• Code Embed elements in Webflow let you position privacy policies and terms of service anywhere in your site layout.

Copy your script URL from the Enzuzo dashboard under Cookie Consent → Cookie Banner → Add to Website. Paste the script tag into your chosen custom code location. Webflow's custom code sections support up to 50,000 characters each, and typical Enzuzo scripts stay well under this threshold.

For privacy policies and terms of service, add a Code Embed element from Webflow's Add panel. Paste the embed code from your Enzuzo dashboard, then position the element on your policy pages.

Configure geo-targeting and script blocking

After setting up Enzuzo through either method, configure how your consent banner behaves for different visitor locations. The Enzuzo dashboard lets you set region-specific rules without writing code.

You can configure opt-in mode for EU visitors who must give explicit consent under GDPR, and opt-out mode for jurisdictions like California where implied consent applies. Enzuzo detects visitor location automatically and displays the appropriate banner type.

Enzuzo provides dedicated CSS selectors you can target for customization, covering text color and typography, button backgrounds and styling, banner dimensions and spacing, border radius, and mobile-specific styling using CSS media queries.

Mobile-specific customization is available through standard CSS media queries. This level of CSS customization requires a paid Enzuzo plan.
