How to integrate Flowdrive with Webflow

Webflow doesn't allow direct video file uploads to the Assets panel. Flowdrive addresses this through external hosting that integrates with Webflow's Designer and CMS.

Use the Flowdrive app

Install from the Webflow Apps Marketplace. The app provides an attribute-based widget that requires no coding.

Setup:

1. Add fd-upload and fd-input attributes to any Webflow div element
2. The div converts into a drag-and-drop upload zone
3. Files upload to Flowdrive's cloud infrastructure
4. URLs populate form fields automatically

Key capabilities:

• Works on any Webflow plan (no Business plan required for file uploads)
• Integrates with Webflow forms to capture uploaded file URLs
• Style through Webflow's Designer using standard controls
• Access file manager directly from Designer interface

Use custom code embeds

For placement outside standard form flows, use Webflow's Code Embed element with a div containing a unique ID. The Flowdrive script auto-initializes widgets based on HTML structure.

API integration

Store Flowdrive file URLs in Webflow CMS collections using the Webflow Collections API PATCH endpoint. This separates file hosting from content management.
