How to integrate FlowScribe with Webflow

The easiest way to set up your FlowScribe Webflow integration is by installing the FlowScribe app from the Webflow Apps marketplace. The app connects to your Webflow workspace through OAuth and publishes AI-generated pages directly to your CMS collections without coding.

If you need custom workflows around the content that FlowScribe publishes, you can also build with Webflow's CMS API to access, modify, or sync CMS items that FlowScribe has created.

Use the FlowScribe app

Install the FlowScribe app from the Webflow Apps marketplace to start generating programmatic SEO pages. The app connects to your workspace through OAuth and writes directly to your CMS collections.

Implementation steps:

1. Install the FlowScribe app from the Webflow Apps marketplace
2. Authorize access to your Webflow workspace
3. Select your target CMS collection
4. Input seed keywords with optional style prompts
5. Review generated content — edit titles and meta descriptions as needed
6. Publish pages to your live site

Design your CMS collection structure before connecting FlowScribe. Define fields for page titles, meta descriptions, body content, and any custom attributes. FlowScribe maps generated content to existing fields using field IDs rather than creating new collections.

The app requests these permissions during installation:

• Read/write CMS data: Create and manage collection items
• Read/write site data and publishing: Identify available collections and publish content
• Read/write page data: Work with page content
• Read site activity data: Track integration activities

Build with Webflow's CMS API

FlowScribe does not expose a public REST API. All content generation happens through the marketplace app. However, developers building custom workflows around FlowScribe-generated content can use Webflow's Data API v2 to access and manage the CMS items that FlowScribe has published.

This approach is useful for teams that need to modify published content programmatically, sync FlowScribe-generated pages to external systems, or monitor content changes through Webflow's webhook system.

Relevant Webflow API endpoints:

• List collection items: GET /v2/collections/:collection_id/items to retrieve pages FlowScribe has generated
• Update collection items: PATCH /v2/collections/:collection_id/items/:item_id for post-generation modifications
• Create webhooks: POST /v2/sites/:site_id/webhooks to trigger external workflows when new content is published

Authentication requires a Bearer token with appropriate scopes (e.g., cms:read, cms:write, sites:write). Webflow supports site tokens, OAuth tokens, and workspace tokens. See Webflow's API documentation for current auth details.

Sync content with external systems

Use Webflow's webhook system to trigger actions when FlowScribe publishes new pages. Configure a webhook for the collection_item_created event to receive notifications with complete page data, including all CMS field values.

This enables workflows like pushing new page URLs to SEO monitoring tools, syncing content to analytics platforms, triggering social media posts when new pages go live, and updating internal databases with page metadata.
