Community Terms

These Community Terms govern your access to and use of the Webflow Community (as defined below), available at [community.webflow.com] and any related services, features, or content. 

By clicking on “I agree” (or a similar box or button to evidence your agreement) when you sign up to participate in Webflow’s Community (as defined below) or by participating in the Webflow Community at [community.webflow.com], you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of these Community Terms ("Terms"). These Terms are between (1) Webflow, Inc. inclusive of its affiliates, (“Webflow,” “we” or “us”) and (2) either the entity you accept these Terms on behalf of, or you in your individual capacity, as applicable (in either case, “User” “you” or “your”). Please read these Terms carefully as they govern your rights and obligations under Webflow’s Community program.

You can view the current version of these Terms at any time at webflow.com/legal/community-terms. We reserve the right to modify, update, or change these Terms from time to time; provided that when we make any material changes to these Terms, we will update the Version Date at the top of this page. You acknowledge and agree that your continued participation in the Community or access to the Community Resources (as defined below) after the effective date specified in any such updates constitutes your agreement to the updated Terms. 

For the avoidance of doubt, (1) any reference to these “Terms” includes all the documents, links, and addenda referenced herein (including by way of example only Webflow’s Global Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, and Acceptable Use Policy, as all are defined herein); and (2) such documents, links, and addenda are all incorporated by reference into these Terms.

1. Definitions

“Acceptable Use Policy” means the Acceptable Use Policy applicable to using Webflow’s platform, available at https://webflow.com/legal/aup.

“Applicable Law(s)” means any and all laws, regulations, conventions, decrees, decisions, orders, judgments, codes and requirements of any government authority (federal, state, local or international) having jurisdiction, that are applicable to a party’s performance of obligations and/or exercise of rights under these Terms.

“Code of Conduct” means the Code of Conduct available at https://webflow.com/legal/code-of-conduct. 

"Community" means the Webflow community platform, forums, and related services and resources provided by Webflow in relation to the community.

"Community Content" means all content, templates, designs, code, tutorials, and other materials made available through the Community by Webflow or third parties, excluding Your Content.

“Community Guidelines” means the community guidelines found at____, which we may update at any time at our discretion.

"Community Resources" means templates, components, code snippets, design assets, tutorials, and other resources shared by Community members.

“Feedback” means any non-confidential comments, ideas, or feedback about Webflow’s Community and/or Webflow’s platform submitted by User to Webflow, including without limitation any suggestions related to improving the Community or Webflow’s platform.

“Global Privacy Policy” means the policy available at https://webflow.com/legal/privacy.

“Intellectual Property” means all worldwide rights in and to intellectual property, including, without limitation rights to inventions, trade secrets, know-how, technology, research tools, data, software, improvements and rights of authorship and attribution, whether or not protected by patents or copyrights, and including, without limitation, patent applications, patents, trade secret rights, copyrights, trademarks, and other exclusive or non-exclusive rights pertaining to intellectual property owned or controlled by a party.

"Your Content" means all content, materials, templates, designs, code, comments, and other information you submit, post, or make available through the Community.

2. Eligibility and Access

1. Access. The Community is a program where designers, developers, marketers, and website creators can share knowledge, templates, resources, and best practices for building powerful websites using the Webflow platform. Subject to User's ongoing compliance with these Terms, the Community will enable User to access and participate in Community discussions, share Community Resources, and leverage materials provided by Webflow and other Community members.
2. Age Requirements. You must be at least 13 years or older to participate in the Community.  If you are under the age of 18, or the legal age of majority where you reside (if that jurisdiction has an older age of majority), you agree to review these Terms with your parent or guardian to make sure that both you and your parent or guardian understand these Terms and you agree to have your parent or guardian review and accept these Terms on your behalf.  We reserve the right to refuse access to the Community to any person or entity and to change the eligibility requirements at any time in our sole discretion.  Access to the Community is prohibited where such access or use would violate applicable law.
3. Account Requirements. To participate in certain Community features, you need to create an account with the Community platform. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and all activities under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your profile and to update such information as necessary.

3. Community Guidelines and Acceptable Use

You must review and follow the Community Guidelines. We may change the Community Guidelines from time to time in our discretion by updating the applicable website. Your participation in the Community is subject to the Community Guidelines, Acceptable Use Policy, and Code of Conduct. Your conduct must not violate any of the aforementioned policies and guidelines, including these Terms. You will not, and will not authorize or direct any third party to, directly or indirectly: (i) use the Community for any illegal purpose or in violation of any local, state, national, or international law; (ii) violate any applicable laws or regulations; (iii) infringe on Intellectual Property rights of others; (iv) share malicious code, viruses, or harmful software; (v) engage in harassment, bullying, or discriminatory behavior; (vi) post spam, promotional content, or unsolicited advertisements (unless in designated areas); (vii) share confidential, proprietary, or sensitive personal information; (viii) impersonate others or create misleading accounts; (ix) attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Community; (x) share content that is defamatory, obscene, or otherwise inappropriate; (xi) violate any third party's privacy or publicity rights; or (xii) use Community data or information to create any related product or service directly competitive to Webflow or its affiliates.

4. Your Content and Licensing

1. Ownership. You retain ownership of Your Content and Intellectual Property, subject to the licenses granted in these Terms.
2. License to Webflow. By posting Your Content to the Community, you grant Webflow a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to: (a) host, store, and display Your Content on the Community; (b) reproduce and distribute Your Content in connection with the Community; (c) create derivative works for formatting and display purposes on the Community; (d) use, reproduce, copy, creative derivative works of Your Content to promote, advertise, use for educational purposes, or otherwise market Webflow, Webflow’s products and services, and the Community, without additional compensation to you; and (e) allow other Community members to access and use Your Content as intended by the Community features.
3. License to Other Users. When you share Community Resources, you grant other Community members a non-exclusive license to use such resources for their own website projects, subject to any specific licensing terms you specify.
4. Representations and Warranties. You represent and warrant that: (a) You own or have sufficient rights to share Your Content; (b) Your Content does not infringe any third-party rights; (c) Your Content complies with these Terms and applicable laws; and (d) You have obtained all necessary permissions for any third-party content included in Your Content.

5. Intellectual Property

Webflow retains all rights, title, and interest in the Community platform, Webflow trademarks, its Intellectual Property, and any content provided by Webflow. Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights to Webflow's Intellectual Property except as expressly stated. You may not use Webflow's trademarks without prior written permission. Webflow does not grant any license, express, or implied, to the Intellectual Property of Webflow or its licensors under the Community, including but not limited to Webflow’s platform and Webflow trademarks.

6. Feedback.

User may choose to, but is not obligated to, submit Feedback to Webflow. User agrees that for any Feedback it provides, User hereby assigns to Webflow all right, title, and interest in and to such Feedback, and Webflow is free to reproduce, disclose, and otherwise use the Feedback without attribution, payment, or restriction of any kind.

7. Content Moderation

1. Webflow's Rights. We reserve the right, but have no obligation, to: (a) monitor, review, and moderate Community content; (b) remove or disable access to any content that violates these Terms in our discretion; (c) suspend or terminate user accounts for violations; and (d) edit content for formatting or display purposes.
2. No Obligation. We are not obligated to monitor the Community and are not responsible for content posted by users.
3. Reporting Violations. If you believe content violates these Terms or infringes your rights, please report it through the designated reporting mechanisms.

8. Privacy

Your use of the Community is subject to Webflow's Privacy Policy. By using the Community, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Global Privacy Policy.

9. Third-Party Services and Links

The Community may contain links to third-party websites or integrate with third-party services. We are not responsible for such third-party services and do not endorse or warrant their content or functionality.

10. Termination

1. Termination by You. You may stop participating in the Community at any time.
2. Termination by Webflow. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Community at any time, with or without cause, including for violating these Terms.
3. Effect of Termination. Upon termination: (a) User's right to access the Community ends immediately; (b) We may delete User's account and Your Content; and (c) sections regarding Intellectual Property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification survive termination. User is solely responsible for retaining copies of any Your Content posted to the Community since upon termination of User's account, User may lose access rights to any Your Content posted to the Community. You understand that we may also continue to make Your Content available to the Community, or elsewhere as permitted under these Terms, even if your participation in the Community is terminated or suspended. We will have no liability to you or any third party for any termination or suspension, nor will termination or suspension limit any other rights or remedies we may have.

11. DISCLAIMERS AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

1. DISCLAIMERS. THE COMMUNITY IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WEBFLOW DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WEBFLOW DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE COMMUNITY WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR FREE OF ERRORS, VIRUSES, OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
2. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WEBFLOW'S TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE COMMUNITY SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100). IN NO EVENT SHALL WEBFLOW BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, GOODWILL, USE, DATA, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.
3. USER CONTENT DISCLAIMER. WEBFLOW IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR CONTENT OR CONTENT POSTED BY OTHER USERS. USER USES THE COMMUNITY AND RELIES ON USER-GENERATED CONTENT AT USER'S OWN RISK.

12. Indemnification

User agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Webflow and its officers, directors, employees, affiliates, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Community; (b) Your Content; (c) your violation of these Terms; (d) your violation of any third-party rights; or (d) your violation of applicable laws.

13. Miscellaneous

The parties are independent contractors, and there is no relationship of partnership, joint venture, employment, franchise or agency created hereby between the parties. Nothing in these Terms, express or implied, is intended to or shall confer upon any person or entity (other than the parties hereto) any right, benefit or remedy of any nature whatsoever under or by reason of these Terms. If any provision of these Terms is held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be contrary to law, the provision will be deemed null and void, and the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in effect. These Terms are the complete and exclusive agreement between the parties regarding matters covered by these Terms. For the avoidance of doubt, these Terms supersedes and terminates any and all prior and/or contemporaneous agreements, proposals, or representations, written or oral, otherwise relating to or concerning its subject matter or any previous Webflow programs or related offerings. Any and all waivers must be in writing and signed by both parties, except as otherwise provided herein. Titles and headings of sections of these Terms are for convenience only and shall not affect the construction of any provision of these Terms. These Terms are governed by and will be construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles or the United Nations Convention on the International Sale of Goods. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts in San Francisco County, California, and the parties expressly consent to personal jurisdiction and venue therein. In any action or proceeding to enforce rights under these Terms, the prevailing party will be entitled to recover its reasonable costs and attorneys’ fees.
