Below the fold

Below the fold

Below the fold refers to the lower portion of a webpage that isn’t immediately visible to visitors upon loading until they scroll down. Web designers prioritize placing critical content above the fold, such as calls-to-action (CTAs) and key messages. Secondary information, like additional product details and FAQs, is typically below the fold.

Above-the-fold content is crucial for capturing visitors’ attention because it’s the first thing they see, but below-the-fold content can also provide value and engage the visitor. Even though it may not be immediately visible, it can strategically complement above-the-fold content and offer visitors additional information. Learn how to focus user attention on content that matters.
