Comparison shopping engine

Comparison shopping engine

A comparison shopping engine (CSE) is a search engine that compares ecommerce pricing, shipping costs, and customer reviews. It gathers information from different platforms to find the best place to purchase a product. The most common CSE is Google Shopping. Other examples include PriceGrabber, Shopping.com, and NexTag.

Comparison shopping engines let you compare stores selling the same product to help you find the best price. You can also track market pricing changes for a product to buy it when it’s at its lowest cost.

If you’re an ecommerce retailer, CSEs might already be finding and listing your products. But you can update your product feed, rewrite descriptions, and pay for advertising to improve your strategy and reach more customers.

Webflow University’s courses on Ecommerce and managing your product offerings can help you optimize your listings and create a website that customers want to purchase from.
